If anyone else has already done this and can share the blog address, let's get kids connected to each other. They can be each other's greatest teachers. We are learning about subscribing to blogs, articles etc. I searched for articles on Deaf Education.

I quickly found a link to a group of college students who were discussing what they had learned in their course of study via a blog! This whole world is mind blowing.

Educators of children who are D/HOH need to open themselves to this world. Teaching reading and writing is our greatest challenge. We struggle to find reading that is of interest and at appropriate reading levels. Imagine linking kids to each other via blogs. The content would be of interest, and at the appropriate level. We have seen that the entire web IS the teacher. The traditional teacher standing in front of the classroom no longer holds all the answers! The person in the front of the room must become a knowledge seeking facilitator!!

Our kids have so much access to an amazing world of technology! We must stop teaching only content. We must teach them how to use technology to access information!!
